What brought you to Centennial College?

Coming from a Pre-Health Sciences background at Cambrian College, I was drawn to Centennial’s Biotechnology program because it offered the perfect bridge between science and real-world application. I wanted a program that was hands-on and industry-relevant - one that would prepare me not just with theory, but with the technical foundation to actually work in complex, regulated environments. Centennial felt like the right place to build that foundation seriously.

Tell us about your favourite Centennial College experience?

My favourite experience was developing the discipline of working within structured, compliance-driven systems — something the Biotechnology program embedded early. The lab environments taught me to think critically under pressure, follow protocols precisely, and collaborate across teams. Those habits didn’t stay in the classroom; they followed me into pharmaceutical manufacturing, wastewater operations, and everything since. Centennial gave me a professional mindset before I even had a professional title.

What impact has Centennial College had on your life?

Centennial was genuinely a launching pad. The technical grounding I received in Biotechnology opened doors I hadn’t anticipated — from GMP environments at Thermo Fisher Scientific, to wastewater operations, to my current role as an Operations Coordinator for Capital Integration with the Ontario Clean Water Agency at one of Ontario’s largest Class IV wastewater facilities. The college gave me credibility and confidence in high-accountability environments, and I carry that with me every day.

What are you up to now?

I’m currently working with the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA), coordinating the integration of capital infrastructure projects with live plant operations at the G.E. Booth Wastewater Resource Recovery Facility — a role that sits at the intersection of engineering, compliance, and operational strategy. Alongside that, I recently launched Axiom Consulting, where I offer services in career guidance, resume building and interview preparation, SOP development, and compliance training to organizations - helping professionals navigate technical industries the same way I had to navigate mine. It’s early days, but it’s something I’m genuinely proud to be building.
