Human Resources Management - 2012

What brought you to Centennial College?

I came to Centennial College to pursue my Post-Graduate Diploma in Human Resources and to gain international exposure to Canadian workplace practices. I was looking for a program that combined practical HR knowledge with real-world application, and Centennial’s strong reputation for career-focused education made it the right choice. The opportunity to learn from experienced faculty, connect with diverse classmates from around the world, and develop skills relevant to the global workforce is what ultimately brought me to Centennial.

Tell us about your favourite Centennial College experience?

My favourite experience at Centennial College was the opportunity to learn in a truly diverse and collaborative environment. As an international student in the Post-Graduate Human Resources program, I had the chance to work with classmates from many different cultural and professional backgrounds. Those discussions, group projects, and classroom debates helped me understand how HR practices can vary across cultures while still focusing on the same goal—supporting people and building strong organizations. That experience not only enriched my learning but also prepared me to work confidently in multicultural workplaces.

What impact has Centennial College had on your life?

Attending Centennial College had a significant impact on both my personal and professional life. The Post-Graduate Human Resources program helped me build a strong foundation in people management, workplace culture, and leadership. Beyond academics, the experience strengthened my confidence, expanded my global perspective, and helped me build meaningful connections. It played an important role in shaping my career in human resources and community leadership, and it continues to influence how I support organizations and people today.

What are you up to now?

Currently, I work in the field of Human Resources and people and culture, supporting organizations in building inclusive, respectful, and high-performing workplaces. After graduating from Centennial College, I continued developing my career in HR leadership, policy development, and workplace investigations. I also work as an HR consultant, helping organizations navigate equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives, employee relations, and organizational development.
In addition to my professional work, I actively serve my community. I sit as a Board Director in a public/government organization and represent students and community voices. I am also involved as a community connector, working to build bridges between people, support newcomers and students, and help individuals better understand their needs, opportunities, and confidence within the community. Giving back and creating inclusive spaces where people feel heard and supported is a big part of the work I am passionate about today.
