What brought you to Centennial College?

My mom was an employee and my older brother is alumni, it was only right that I chose Centennial.

Tell us about your favourite Centennial College experience?

During my 4-month co-op with the Career & Co-op Services department, I casually mentioned that I dream of owning a dance fitness studio one day. That conversation turned into an invitation to lead a 30-minute "fitness break."
After the session, we ended with a potluck where they shared advice, resources, and opportunities I could tap into through the school. Their belief in my dream was genuinely empowering and showed me just how committed the Centennial staff are to supporting students in whatever path they choose.

What impact has Centennial College had on your life?

Centennial shaped more than my education.
It gave me the foundational tools in business and marketing that I needed, but it also gave me curiosity and ambition I didn't know I had. It taught
me to keep learning, keep stretching, and keep believing in my potential.

What are you up to now?

Right now, I'm building my business, Bodies In Motion Dance Fitness — a women's-only
dance fitness company based in Scarborough and Durham.

Bodies In Motion Dance Fitness is rooted in making movement fun again. Creating a space where women feel empowered not because of the calories they burned, but because they broke out of their comfort zone, tried something new, and built confidence in their abilities each time they stepped into the studio.

Watching women grow more comfortable in their bodies over time has been incredibly inspiring.

So far, we've hosted three events with over 60 participants, and our community is growing stronger every day.
