Office Administration - Legal - 2025

What brought you to Centennial College?

I came to Centennial College during a transitional period in my life, as a mature student ready to take on a new challenge and build a meaningful career. The Office Administration – Legal program offered the hands-on skills, real-world experience, and structure I needed at a time of personal and professional change. Centennial became more than a place to learn — it was a space to grow, gain confidence, and transform uncertainty into purpose.

Tell us about your favourite Centennial College experience?

One of my favourite experiences at Centennial College was completing my practicum with Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP. It was my first real glimpse into the legal world and gave me invaluable hands-on experience that solidified my career direction. At the same time, achieving honours with a GPA of 4.15/4.5 and receiving awards like the Scotiabank Academic Scholarship and Pride Bursary reminded me that dedication and persistence pay off. Both experiences — practical and academic — shaped my confidence, skills, and belief in my potential.

What impact has Centennial College had on your life?

Centennial College had a profound impact on my life, both personally and professionally. As a mature student navigating a transitional period, it gave me the structure, guidance, and confidence I needed to embrace change and pursue a meaningful career. The combination of hands-on learning, academic rigor, and supportive faculty helped me transform uncertainty into purpose and equipped me with the skills and mindset to step into leadership roles with conviction. Centennial didn’t just prepare me for a job — it helped me discover what I was capable of and set me on a path I’m proud to follow.

What are you up to now?

Since graduating from Centennial College, I’ve been building a meaningful career in the legal and lands management field. I currently serve as Lands and Estates Compliance Lead with Alderville First Nation, a role that allows me to combine the practical skills, confidence, and professional discipline I developed at Centennial with my commitment to supporting my community. Every step of my journey — from practicum to graduation to today — has been shaped by the foundation Centennial helped me build.

Current city of residence

I currently live in Campbellford, Ontario. While I completed my program as an online student, Centennial’s support and resources made me feel connected and fully part of the community, no matter the distance.
